Quest 2.0: Our Biggest Product Release Ever

We're excited to announce Quest 2.0—our biggest product release ever. Earlier in 2025, we made the decision to rewrite Quest from the very first line of code. We did this to make Quest more scalable, more stable, and easier to update as your travel needs evolve. We also built Quest from the ground up to seamlessly integrate AI features that will make business travel smarter and more efficient.
The headline feature you'll notice right away? Individual travel. You can now book individual flights and hotels directly from your Quest homepage, with car rentals coming soon.
But Quest 2.0 isn't just about one big feature—we've made tons of small improvements throughout the platform that add up to a significantly better experience.
Let’s walk you through everything that's new.
More Ways to Pay
Quest 2.0 gives companies three flexible ways to pay for and fund their travel programs, so you can choose the option that works best for your team. Please note, that Split Pay is only compatible with our Wallet form of payment.
1. Individual Credit Card
Perfect for companies that want travelers to use their own credit cards at the point of sale. This approach is ideal if you want your team members to maximize their own points and rewards while relying on a solid expense reimbursement program.
2. Company Credit Card
Designed for smaller businesses that want all travel expenses to go on one master card. This is a great fit if your team doesn't travel frequently and the business owner wants to accumulate all the points and miles on their own credit card.
3. Wallet
This is one of our most innovative features. Wallet works like a prepaid company account—think of it as a Starbucks card for business travel. Companies deposit funds into their Wallet, and those funds are used to book travel.
The major benefit?
No more expense reimbursements.
The system automatically tracks all transactions, making accounting seamless. We've been trialing Wallet for the past year, and companies absolutely love it.
Looking ahead, we're exploring new ways to offer a suite of financial services built around Wallet to make business travel payments even more powerful.
Travel Policies

Quest 2.0 introduces enhanced rules and controls that make it easier for travel managers and admins to enforce their company's travel policy.
Simplified Flight Duration Brackets
We've streamlined how you control flight spending and class of service. Instead of complex duration tiers, Quest now uses two simple brackets: short-haul and long-haul. By default, short-haul is defined as 0-8 hours and long-haul is 8+ hours—but here's the best part: admins have complete control to redefine these brackets based on what makes sense for their company's travel policy.
Paid Seat Assignment Controls
Here's where Quest 2.0 gets smarter than the competition. Many travel platforms treat paid seat assignments within your allowed cabin class as "upgrades," which can be frustrating since carriers like United now charge for more and more preferred seats. Quest 2.0 lets admins decide whether the company will cover seat assignments if they're within budget—giving you nuanced control over a cost that's becoming increasingly common.
Airline Exclusions
Want to keep Spirit (or any other carrier) out of your search results? Quest 2.0 lets you granularly exclude airlines on a carrier-by-carrier basis, so your travelers only see options that meet your company standards.
Refundable Fare Requirements
For companies that want to prioritize flexibility, Quest 2.0 now allows admins to require travelers to book refundable fares. This is a unique feature that gives you peace of mind when plans might change.
Shoulder Date Controls
On the event travel side, admins can now enforce shoulder dates—setting limits on how early travelers can arrive before an event or how long they can stay after the core event dates. This gives you better control over travel spend while still allowing reasonable flexibility for your team.
A Smarter, Cleaner Flight Shopping Experience

Redesigned for Clarity (And Speed)
We've completely redesigned how flight shopping works. Previously, Quest showed all branded fares side-by-side. This meant you saw prices for Basic Economy through First Class all on the same row.
Now, we've moved to a design that's more in line with Google Flights. We give you the lowest price up front and then let you see all the fare classes after you pick your return flight. We did this to improve our messaging about what is in and out of policy and why. Plus, 9 out of 10 flights booked on our platform are standard economy, so sometimes less is more.
More Content, Lower Prices
Our team also did a lot of work under the covers. We now have a GDS middleware that allows us to connect to multiple sources of content. What does this mean for you? Quest will show you the absolute lowest price, as we now have NDC (New Distribution Capability) direct connections with a ton of airlines.
Reporting
We went through great effort to talk with CFOs and finance teams to understand what they really need from travel reporting. The result? Quest 2.0 delivers reporting that's both comprehensive and actionable.
Master Transactions Table
Every single transaction that happens inside your Quest workspace is now instantly viewable and exportable. This master transactions table gives you complete visibility into your travel spend with no delays—see everything that's happening in real-time and export it whenever you need.
Enhanced Event Reporting
If you're a Quest 1.0 customer, you'll immediately notice that event reporting is now far more visual and intuitive. Event reports now live directly inside the product with better visualizations for key data like arrival and departure patterns, making it easier to understand your group travel at a glance.
Individual Travel Analytics
For everyday business travel, Quest 2.0 includes an intelligent system that breaks down your flights, hotels, and cars by vendor. This makes it dramatically easier to negotiate directly with airlines, hotel chains like Marriott, and car rental companies. When you can show consolidated spend by vendor, you unlock better custom rates and partnerships. Plus, we've built better visualizations across individual travel so you can quickly spot trends and opportunities to optimize.
Events
Event travel is our specialty, and Quest 2.0 makes managing group travel even more powerful and intuitive.
Better Event Overview
Admins will immediately notice improved visualization on the events page. You can now see at a glance the status of each event—specifically when booking opens and when it closes. This high-level view makes it effortless to understand exactly where each program stands.
Booking Windows
Event setup now includes a dedicated booking window with a clear start date (when travelers can begin booking) and an end date (the booking deadline). This gives you precise control over your booking timeline.
Default Search Dates
For international programs, we've decoupled event dates from the dates that prepopulate in the flight search. This was important feedback we heard—now you can set default search dates that make sense for your travelers, even if they differ from your actual event dates.
Welcome Messages & Special Instructions
You can now add a welcome message in rich text that appears below your event card—perfect for setting the tone and sharing event-specific information. We've also added an optional special instructions field that displays in yellow above your event card for important notices that need immediate attention.
Emergency Approval Limits
Here's a smart new travel policy feature: you can now set an emergency approval amount. This defines how much a traveler can spend on the day of travel for urgent rebooking or flight changes without needing to wait for manual approval. It's peace of mind for both travelers and admins when the unexpected happens.
AllFly Rooms Integration
We've been trialing a mini product called AllFly Rooms, and we're excited to bring it into Quest 2.0. AllFly Rooms lets you manage your hotel room block in an easy, lightweight way—perfect if you're a meeting planner who can't afford a Cvent or Swaogo license but still needs a reliable way to manage contracted room blocks. You can link directly to AllFly Rooms from inside Quest. One of the unique features? You can easily manage shoulder dates and have travelers pay for their shoulder nights at checkout, making reconciliation seamless.
Coming Soon
Car Rentals
Soon you'll be able to easily shop rental cars from all the major providers like National, Hertz, etc., right from the Quest homepage.
AI-Assisted Flight Changes
We are updating our phone lines. Our AI-powered "Alice" has previously been handling chats, and we are currently testing an AI phone system that can answer your call with zero hold time, pull up your reservation, and change your flight. It's all handled over the phone and is fully connected to both Quest and the GDS.
SMS Text Messages
This is in beta right now. We are testing the ability to send SMS text messages for all major stages of travel, from confirmations and changes to travel disruptions.
A Note for Our Quest 1.0 Customers
As we mentioned, Quest 2.0 is a complete rewrite on an entirely new codebase. We made this significant infrastructure change to build a faster, more scalable, and future-proof platform.
Because of this, migration from 1.0 to 2.0 is not automatic. If you are a Quest 1.0 customer, you will need to create a new Quest 2.0 account.
Your user list will not transfer over, so you will need to re-invite your team. Think of it as starting fresh on a brand-new platform. We know this is an extra step, but we are here to help you through the process. Should you need to talk with Customer Success, you can set up a meeting here. This is the last time you'll ever have to do this—all future updates will now happen seamlessly on the 2.0 platform.
Wrap Up
Quest 2.0 is a monumental step forward, and we're incredibly excited to get it into your hands. We couldn't have done this without the invaluable feedback from our amazing customers and partners—thank you!
As much as we've focused on technology, AI, and rewriting the platform, we know that at the heart of every business is its people. That's why we are more committed than ever to providing the very best service in the industry. From setting up your account, to creating your first event, and getting help when your travelers need it most, our team of real, friendly humans is here to support your travel needs every step of the way.
We're incredibly hopeful about the future and can't wait to continue building it with you.
